Operator and scope

Australia Illuminate (Auslume) was founded and is operated by Rohim Karki, ABN 34 590 057 675. These terms cover auslume.com.au and media.auslume.com.au. By creating an account or contributing content, you agree to these terms and our Community Standards. Separately commissioned services require an agreement identifying scope, fees and responsibilities.

Accounts and publishing

You must be 16 or older to create an account, provide accurate information and protect your credentials. Reader registration does not confer publishing access. Authors require approval. Do not impersonate others, access another person's account or evade restrictions.

Editorial information

News, opinion and sponsored material should be distinguished. Information may change after publication. Content is general information, not individual migration, legal, financial, tax or medical advice. Check official sources and seek appropriately qualified advice for your circumstances. Reading or commenting does not establish an adviser-client relationship.

Send correction requests with the article link, disputed claim and supporting sources. We may correct, annotate or withdraw material. AI-assisted work requires fact and rights checks; synthetic media must not be presented as photographic evidence of real events.

Contributions and copyright

You retain ownership of submitted content. You grant Auslume a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute and promote it in operating the publication, including attributed excerpts linking to it. This does not transfer ownership or authorise selling your work as a separate product. Reasonable publication records and backups may persist after removal.

Submit only material you have rights to use. Credit creators and sources, retain licence evidence and disclose sponsorship, affiliate relationships and conflicts. Freely viewable media is not necessarily free to copy. Use official links/embeds or appropriately licensed material.

Readers may share links and use applicable copyright exceptions. Other reproduction of full articles, photos or videos needs permission from the relevant rights holder. Do not imply endorsement.

Community and moderation

Comments may be held for review. Harassment, threats, doxxing, defamation, unlawful discrimination, spam, scams and infringing material are prohibited. Reactions express user opinions, not factual verification.

We may remove material or limit accounts where reasonably necessary for breaches, security or legal obligations. Where practical we explain the reason and provide an opportunity for review. Urgent protective action may occur first. Report concerns through the contact below.

Contributions, author tips and paid offers

Browsing and free registration create no payment obligation. Voluntary site contributions support the publication; author tips support the identified author. They are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations and do not purchase editorial influence.

Author tips carry a 10% platform fee for Auslume, disclosed before payment. The checkout and author onboarding terms must state how payment-processing charges, refunds, disputes and taxes affect the author amount. An author must complete payment-provider onboarding before receiving tips. A planned tipping feature is not an available payment service.

Paid products/services must identify the seller, total price, currency, inclusions, delivery terms and any cancellation conditions before checkout. No subscription is created by a one-off contribution. Nothing removes any remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law. Any additional change-of-mind refund policy is stated with the offer.

Advertising and external services

Sponsored content and affiliate relationships must be identified. Ads are not endorsements. Third-party platforms control their services and privacy practices. Sharing controls let you decide whether to publish a link on the selected platform.

Availability, rights and changes

We take reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted service or the accuracy of all external sources. Free features may change or be discontinued with reasonable notice where practical. Nothing excludes rights, consumer guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded; these terms do not impose an unlimited user indemnity.

Material changes are dated and communicated where appropriate, and do not retrospectively change an agreed purchase. New South Wales law applies, subject to mandatory protections and any right to bring proceedings in another applicable jurisdiction.

We aim to acknowledge complaints within seven days and respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why. If the Privacy Act applies and a privacy complaint remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Consumer remedies and other applicable complaint avenues remain available.
